The Red Book - RICS Appraisal & Valuation Manual

The Red Book - RICS Valuation Standards (January 2008)

The latest Red Book is updated to reflect the latest RICS Rules of Conduct, published this year; contains much clearer rules on compliance with the Red Book, including guidance on exactly which types of work the Red Book applies to and includes the full text of IVA 1 and IVA 2.

If you value property, land or machinery it is essential that you have a copy of the Red Book. This is because it contains all official RICS practice statements and guidance notes on valuation. These are mandatory on all RICS members and will ensure that you follow best practice and comply with the law. This in turn will reduce the risk of a negligence claim and ensure your professionalism.
