RICS Guidance Notes

RICS Guidance Notes provide advice to members of RICS on aspects of the profession and procedures that embody best practice and meet a high standard of professional competence. When an allegation of professional negligence is made against a surveyor, the court is likely to take account of the contents of any relevant RICS Guidance Notes as they are relevant to professional competence.

It is possible to search our product database for official RICS material published by RICS Books such as the aforementioned guidance notes, and also information papers and codes of practice.

Some RICS guidance may be available free, to view or download, from the members' zone of the RICS website. To check whether guidance is available go to www.rics.org/memberhome and follow links to RICS guidance.

All official RICS titles are also available to download for free as part of a subscription to isurv.co.uk.
